Year 6 Transition Project 2024-25 Speed
This academic year, our transition team are carrying out a project with pupils from primary schools within our cluster. Our project ‘SPEED’ aims to develop skills in the areas of:
Language, Literacy and Communication
Numeracy and Mathematics
Science and Technology
Expressive Arts
In the summer term, we will hosting a Grand Prix event. Our year 6 pupils will come together and race the cars that they’ve designed and constructed throughout the project. They will also get the opportunity to showcase the other aspects of work that they have completed.

In September ‘24 we worked with Motorsport UK and Swansea University to introduce the girls to Motorsport and the world of work. ‘‘Girls on Track UK’, is an initiative managed by Motorsport UK, whose main aim is to inspire, connect and showcase females in motorsport as well as in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) subjects.
